Caveats & Addenda

The purpose of this blog is to catalog a year of my work life in a narrative form.  The reason for this purpose is that without a constructed narrative, the stories about things that happen here don't seem to have much meaning.  "She rang the bell" doesn't mean squat in the context of a Twitter-length rant.

The process of producing a narrative is also fundamentally creative, and I need to be creating something right now.  I'm under no illusions that I'm producing a Great Work of Western Literature.  As a created narrative, I make no claim that this is factual, though it is inspired by my (sometimes dreadfully mundane) experiences.

For the sake of argument, let's say that all characters appearing in this work are fictitious, and that any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

Finally, the title implies a certain scope and longevity that I'm not firmly committing to.  It just sounded snappy.  I'll do this until the costs outweigh the benefits.
